The company was established on January 17, 1966 – starting from the commissioning the Igrim – Serov gas pipeline, which provided gas supplies from the first Western Siberia fields (the Igrimskoye and Punginskoye) to metallurgical and energy enterprises of Northern Ural.
For many years Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk has been a stable and intensively developing gas enterprise performing its activities on the territory of three Russian Federation constituents: the Yamal – Nenets, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrugs and the Sverdlov Oblast.
The length of the company’s manifold gas trunklines accounts for 1.5 thousand km. Up to 1.5 bcm/d of gas are delivered from the northern Tyumen fields to consumers in the Ural region, central Russia, the CIS and Europe via the gas pipeline system.
Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk is a strong social and production complex. It comprises 47 business units, of which 40 units are located in the areas of the Extreme North or localities with similar environmental conditions. 28 line production directorates of gas trunklines lay at the cornerstone of the company’s structure.
The company operates and maintains 27 thousand km (total length of all pipeline strings) of gas trunklines with 1,020-1,420mm in diameter, 211 compressor shops, 1,138 gas pumping units with 15.3 thousand MW in total installed capacity.
The company incorporates all the required divisions responsible for repair and technical maintenance, construction and reconstruction of a sophisticated gas transportation system, social and household support of en-route settlements.
Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk employs over 36 thousand of personnel.
Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk’s successful implementation of social programs and initiatives approved by the personnel and highly appreciated by the public community enabled the company to become repeatedly a winner of regional, industry-wide and federal sector competitions in the social efficiency.
Further development of Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk is linked to the development of largest fields of northern Tyumen Oblast: the Medvezhye, Urengoy, Yamburg, Yamsovey field, Yubileinoye, Zapolyarnoye and Pestsovoye.
Director General of Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk (former Tyumentransgaz) is Pavel Zavalny, he has a PhD degree in Technical Sciences. He is the author of more than 30 scientific works, creator of advanced gas transportation technologies. Active Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Technological Sciences.
